MaxEDD Forex software claims to have “unbeatable Alpari UK Certified proof with 1165% profits”.  The software isn’t a traditional MT4 forex EA, it’s designed as a tool to help you find and optimize the settings of your preferred forex EA.  Essentially what the software is is a beefed-up version of the built-in MT4 backtester/optimizer.  If you’re someone who likes to backtest an EA 150,000 times using every different variable combination, every different timeframe, and every different currency pair then MaxEDD might be a smart investment for you.  On the other hand, if you’re someone who buys an EA, glances at the manual and then throws the EA onto a chart and lets it run for 6 months this might not be a product you wish to invest in.

Looking a little closer into the MaxEDD system you’ll notice the proof is from an individual’s account: Uriel Katz.  Uriel Katz is well known in the forex industry for his website: forex-robots.com.  The good news is that yes, the statements on MaxEDD’s website are in all likelihood legitimate and not forged.  The bad news is their forexpeacearmy review page (http://www.forexpeacearmy.com/public/review/www.maxedd.com) was “padded” by what seemed to be their own marketing team.  Uriel Katz’s home address lists himself as being located in Israel – and Forexpeacearmy’s moderation team noted two 4 star reviews from the same IP address in Israel both claiming to be from elsewhere.  This information does not necessarily discredit the performance of MaxEDD as a software or tool but the team at Forex Deal Bank wants to make sure all customers are fully informed regarding everything from EA performance to the business model to the support team behind each EA.
